Frequently asked questions
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE COMMON APPLICATIONS FOR A 336 ft BOOM LIFT?
With a wide range of lifting attachments, our aerial platforms can be used across a wide range of industry sectors to provide a cost-effective solution to working at height that allows work to be carried out quickly and efficiently while minimizing disruption. Within the aerospace industry, there are often repairs, upgrades, and build outs that occur at great heights, either on rockets, hangars, or service structures. Companies like SpaceX have trusted Blade Platforms and our fleet of aerial access machines with these projects. Our team is equipped to handle projects at heights of over 300 feet.
WHAT SAFETY FEATURES ARE INCLUDED IN A 336 ft BOOM LIFT?
Even the most challenging environments are made safe thanks to the enhanced safety features that come included with any Blade Platforms boom lift. For example, when initially setting up the machine, outrigger pads are used to ensure the load is spread and point loadings are reduced. The boom lift’s cage remains stable even at maximum outreach and, in the event of an emergency, the onboard computer can be overridden to ensure that all personnel are returned to the ground safely.
WHAT TRAINING IS NECESSARY TO OPERATE A 336 ft BOOM LIFT?
OSHA requires that training be completed before operating an aerial lift. There is also standard governed by ANSI and IPAF, as well as secondary training that may be required depending on the jobsite. When renting a 336 ft boom lift from Blade Platforms, we can also provide staff to operate the machine and provide additional training where necessary.
