This Cookie Policy explains how Blade Platforms LLC (“Blade Platforms”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.bladeplatforms.com, what they do, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include pixels (tiny images or scripts that tell a service a page was viewed), local storage in your browser, and scripts that record how a page is used. Some are set by us (“first-party”); others are set by the companies whose services we use (“third-party”). Some last only while your browser is open (“session”); others remain for a set period.
2. How we use them
Strictly necessary and security
These are needed for the website to work. At present the only one we set is the cookie that remembers a password you enter to view a protected page. They cannot be switched off in our systems.
Functional
Our live chat (tawk.to) uses cookies and local storage so that a conversation you start continues as you move between pages.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the website: which pages are viewed, for how long, where visitors come from and where they get stuck. Clarity and Hotjar can record mouse movements, clicks and scrolling on a page to show how it is used. By default both mask what you type into form fields, so the contents of an enquiry are not captured in these recordings.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise on other platforms and use their pixels to measure whether our advertising works and to show our ads to people who have visited the website. These are Google Ads (including DoubleClick), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising (Bing), Reddit, TikTok and StackAdapt. These companies may combine information from our website with information they hold about you, under their own privacy policies.
Business visitor identification
We use Snitcher and RB2B to understand which organizations visit the website. These services use cookies and your IP address to match a visit to a company, and in some cases RB2B may match a visit to a professional profile, so that our team can follow up with businesses that have shown an interest in our equipment.
Attribution
We keep a note in your browser’s local storage of how you first arrived at the website (for example the referring site, the landing page and any advertising click identifier). If you send us an enquiry, this is included with it so that we know which of our marketing brought the enquiry in.

4. Your choices
- Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the website, such as live chat, from working.
- Google. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on and manage ad personalization in My Ad Center.
- Advertising platforms. Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Reddit and TikTok let you control ad personalization in your account settings on each platform. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative, or in Canada through YourAdChoices.
